Thera Hillenaar is a Dutch artist, costume designer, and scenographer whose practice moves between performance and sculpture.

Through their organic form and repurposed leather coverings, her totem-like structures suggest a subtle vitality, as though charged with an imperceptible movement. Besides these larger works, Hillenaar exhibits her series of ‘Geometric Morfiques’ – intimate structures that explore the relationships between innocence, material, and form. Arranged together, the works become symbolic – ritual objects that carry both reverence and reminder.
